Prepare to Configure an ISDN Router
Before you configure the Cisco router, you need the following information.
From your ISDN service provider, telephone company, or administrator of your company's network, get the following ISDN configuration information:
- ISDN switch type (in North America, this is typically 5ESS, DMS, or NI-1)
- ISDN Service Profile Identifiers (SPIDs)
- ISDN local directory numbers (LDNs)
Get the following information from your Internet service provider:
- IP address for your PC
- IP subnet mask for your PC
- IP address for your router's Ethernet interface
- IP address of your Domain Name System (DNS) server
- Administrative password that you or your service provider will use to manage your router
- Authentication password that your router will use when connecting to the service provider

Continue for a Windows 95 PC.
Continue for a Macintosh.
Continue for a UNIX system.
