This guide is for the networking professional installing and maintaining the FastHub 108T and the FastHub 104T, hereafter referred to as FastHub 108T/104T. It is assumed that this individual is familiar with the concepts and terminology of Ethernet and local area networking.

This manual is organized as follows:

"Fast Install Guide" is an installation procedure for experienced networking professionals.

"Introduction" describes the key features and benefits of the FastHub 108T/104T.

"Planning" outlines preinstallation and cabling guidelines and includes several sample configurations.

"Installation" contains the complete procedures for installing the FastHub 108T/104T on a table or shelf, and for connecting it to your network.

"Troubleshooting" describes some problems that may arise and their recommended solutions.

"Technical Specifications" is a list of the physical characteristics of the FastHub 108T/104T.

"FastHub 108T/104T Connectors" details the physical characteristics of the FastHub 108T/104T connectors and includes schematics for crossover and straight-through cables.
