Fast Install Guide
This chapter lists the steps required to install the FastHub 108T/104T. The procedure described here assumes you are familiar with installing and using Ethernet repeaters, and that you are aware of the configuration and planning requirements for a 100 Base-T network.
Caution If you do not have Ethernet repeater experience, turn to the "Introduction" chapter. If you need help configuring or planning your network, proceed to the "Planning" chapter.
Check the FastHub 108T/104T package. It should contain the following items:
- The FastHub 108T or 104T unit
- This FastHub 108T and 104T User Guide
- Warranty package
- Cushioning kit: four rubber feet with instructions
- Power cord
Note If any of these items are missing, notify Cisco Systems.
Please note that this is an abbreviated installation procedure. For a more detailed description of the installation procedures, refer to the "Installation" chapter.
To install your FastHub 108T or 104T:
- Step 1 Unpack the FastHub 108T or 104T unit.
- Step 2 Place the FastHub 108T or 104T on a table or shelf.
- Step 3 Attach the power cord to the FastHub 108T or 104T unit. Plug it into a power outlet.
- Step 4 Cable the workstations, servers, or other 100Base TX devices to the FastHub 108T or 104T.
