Prepare to Configure an ISDN Router
Before you configure the Cisco router for ISDN, you need the following information.
Get the following ISDN configuration information from your ISDN service provider, or network manager:
- ISDN switch type (in North America, this is typically 5ESS, DMS, or NI-1)
- ISDN SPIDs
- ISDN local directory numbers
Get the following information from your Internet service provider:
- IP address for your PC
- IP subnet mask for your PC
- IP address for your router's Ethernet interface
- IP address of your Domain Name System (DNS) server
- Administrative password that you or your Internet service provider will use to manage your router
- Authentication password that your router will use when connecting to the Internet service provider
Continue for a Windows 3.11 PC.
Continue for a Windows 95 PC.
Continue for a UNIX system.
Continue for a Macintosh.
