Prepare to Configure the Router from a UNIX Workstation

From a UNIX workstation or PC, you cannot use ClickStart to configure your router for the first time because the router cannot discover its IP address. You must configure the router's IP address when you set up the router as follows:

  1. Connect a terminal to the router's console port.

  2. Configure an IP address for the router's Ethernet port.

Use the Web browser's back button and return to the previous menu to continue to configure your router.
