Using ClickStart on a Windows 95 PC

To use ClickStart on a PC running Windows 95, perform the following tasks by using the Network Control Panel and selecting the TCP/IP configuration information.

  1. In the IP Address section, check that the PC has the correct IP address.

  2. Load the ClickStart Install Program for Windows disk in your PC and follow the instructions contained on the Start Here quick reference card included in your router package.

Note When you actually configure the router later in this procedure, Windows 95 may display error messages indicating that it has found another computer on the network with the same IP address. Ignore these messages by clicking OK in the error message window

  1. After you have configured the router, set the default gateway to the router's IP address.

If you change any of the TCP/IP parameters, you must restart your PC.

Use the Web browser's back button and return to the previous menu to continue to configure your router.
