Fast Install Guide

This Fast Install Guide lists the steps required to install the FastHub 112F. This guide assumes that you are familiar with installing and managing Ethernet hubs, and that you are aware of configuration and planning requirements for a Fast Ethernet network.

Caution If you do not have Ethernet hub experience, proceed to the "Introduction" chapter. If you would like help planning your Fast Ethernet network, proceed to the "Planning" chapter.

Packing List

Check the FastHub 112F package. It should contain the following items:

• The FastHub 112F
  

• The FastHub 112F User Guide (this manual)
  

• Power cord
  

• Warranty package
  

• Four rack mount screws
  

• Cushioning kit: 4 rubber feet with instructions

Fast Install Procedures

Step 1 Unpack the FastHub 112F.

Step 2 Mount the FastHub 112F on a table, shelf, or in a rack.

Step 3 Attach the power cable, and turn on the power.

Step 4 Cable the workstations and servers to the FastHub 112F.
