Configure the Router

Now you are ready to configure the router. You do this by completing the router EZSetup form, which is located on the router.

Before you continue, make sure you have your list of IP and ISDN parameters. We suggest that you print a sample copy of the router EZSetup form and fill in all the values you want to enter on the form which is located on the router.

When you're ready to configure your router, click here.

Troubleshooting

If you did not get to the EZSetup form on the router, or if the router did not configure properly, try one or more of the following possible solutions until you succeed in configuring the router:

  1. Check that the Ethernet cable is correctly connected.

  2. If your router was previously configured, you need to erase this configuration prior to using ClickStart. To erase the current configuration, connect a terminal to the router's console port and use the set defaults command to erase the existing configuration file.

  3. Turn the router off, and then restart the router.

  4. Restart your browser.

If none of these steps succeeds, contact the Cisco Technical Response Center (TRC).
