Set Up the Router

To set up the router, perform the following tasks:

1. Plug your router into a power socket.
   

2. Power on the router.
   

3. Make sure that your PC and the router are connected to each other by an Ethernet cable.
   

4. If your router was previously configured, this configuration must be erased prior to using ClickStart. To erase an existing configuration, connect a terminal to the router's console port and use the set defaults command to erase the existing configuration file. If you need to save the existing configuration, you can use the upload command to move the current configuration to your PC before you initiate the set defaults command. Then use the Setup form to configure the router.
