This section discusses the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the Cisco AS5200 Universal Access Server Installation Guide.

All Cisco technical documentation and additional literature are available on the Cisco Connection Documentation, Enterprise Series CD-ROM, Cisco's online library of product information. The Cisco Connection Documentation CD-ROM is updated and shipped monthly, so it might be more up to date than printed documentation. The Cisco Connection Documentation CD-ROM is available both as a single CD and as an annual subscription. Document Objectives

This publication steps you through the initial site preparation, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of the Cisco AS5200. It also covers selected maintenance procedures.


Audience

This publication is designed for the person installing the router, who should be familiar with electronic circuitry and wiring practices and have experience as an electronic or electromechanical technician.

For more advanced configuration applications, refer to the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (Cisco IOS) configuration guides and command references.

Note Means reader take note. Notes contain helpful suggestions or references to materials not contained in this manual.

fig_2.gif Caution Means reader be careful. In this situation, you might do something that could result in equipment damage or loss of data.

fig_3.gif Warning Means danger. You are in a situation that could cause bodily injury. Before you work on any equipment, you must be aware of the hazards involved with electrical circuitry and be familiar with standard practices for preventing accidents.
