To configure a Cisco router for ISDN, you must order ISDN service from your telephone company. To do this, order basic telephone service with the ISDN service and billing options you want. When your ISDN service has been installed, plug the telephone into the phone jack.
Normally, in Europe and in North America, you can tell your phone company that you want ISDN service and they will install ISDN correctly. However, if the telephone company asks you for specific information about the type of service you want, you can get more details.
