Getting Started
Starting the AS5200 Manager
To start the AS5200 Manager do the following:
Step 1 From the CiscoView Main window, select File, then Open Device.
Step 2 In the Host field, enter the IP address of your Cisco AS5200.
Step 3 Enter your Read Community string.
Step 4 Enter your Write Community string.
Step 5 Click OK.
- An illustration of the rear view of the Cisco AS5200 appears, displaying hardware components, such as ports, modem cards, alarms, and power supply connections. (For a detailed description of the hardware components, see the Cisco AS5200 Universal Access Server User Guide.)
Step 6 From the View menu, select logical.
- An illustration of the logical modem connections appears, showing the status of installed modems. A box with a large M graphically represents each modem connection. The AS5200 Manager application initializes when the logical view is in view.
Navigating the Online Help System
Following are suggestions for navigating the online help system:
- Main table of contents---Use the main table of contents to access procedures.
- Search button---Use the Search button to display a dialog box with the help index. Select the preferred item and click OK to display the help topic.
- Browse buttons ---Use the browse buttons (<< and >>) to sequentially page through the help file topics.
