CSU/DSU Router EZSetup

CSU/DSU Router EZSetup

To configure your router fill in the fields below. Most of the information required should have been supplied to you by your network manager or service provider.

Router Name and Password

Name your router and give it a password. The router name must be the name that you were told to use. The password is your choice.

Serial Interface

You need to know if the CSU/DSU is connected to a leased line or 56k switched network.

If you are connected to a 56k switched network, kyou will need to know the phone number to be dialed.

Remote phone number

You need to know the name of the router you will be dialing up, and the password used for CHAP authentication on the link. This CHAP password should have been supplied to you, and is different from the router password above.

This will have little or no impact on performance but will help diagnose WAN and Dial-On-Demand problems. Debugging information is sent to the console and is stored in an internal buffer.
