Command Reference

This appendix lists the command set for the Cisco 1020.

For a more thorough discussion of these commands, refer to the Cisco 1020 Command Reference publication on UniverCD, or a printed copy can be ordered.


Command Modes

There are four command modes. They are:

In order to use a particular command, you must be in the correct configuration mode. You can cycle between modes as follows:

Tables C-1 to C-4 list the Cisco 1020 commands, including <arguments> and [optional text], grouped by mode. Table C-1 contains privileged EXEC commands, Table C-2 contains global configuration commands, Table C-3 contains interface configuration commands, and Table C-4 contains site commands.

Note Site Configuration commands are used to build a site table that contains information about the other party to your dialog, whether you are dialing in or out or both. The order of site commands is unimportant, except that max-ports must be the last entry. For examples using site commands, see the example configurations in the chapter "Configuring the Cisco 1020."
