What's New with Cisco Connection Documentation, Enterprise Series CD-ROMs

November 1996

This document lists the additions and revisions to the Cisco Connection Documentation, Enterprise Series CD-ROMs made since the last release. It is divided into three sections: "New Documents," "Revised Documents," and "Getting Assistance."


Note Reinstall the Cisco documentation CD software each time you receive a new issue of the CDs to ensure that you are always running the latest version.


New Documents

The following documents appear on the Cisco documentation CDs for the first time:

This document describes features and functionality of the Cisco 1600 series routers, a series of small routers that provide Internet or central office access for users at home or in small/remote office sites. Chapter topics include installing router hardware, configuring router software, ordering an ISDN BRI line, and troubleshooting the router. The document is located under Cisco Product Documentation: Access Servers and Access Routers: Modular Access Routers: Cisco 1600 Series Routers: Cisco 1600 Series Router Installation and Configuration Guide.

This configuration notes describes how to install the ISDN BRI S/T WAN interface card in any of the Cisco 1600 series routers. This configuration note appears in Cisco Product Documentation: Access Servers and Access Routers: Modular Access Routers: Cisco 1600 Series Routers: Cisco 1600 Series Routers Configuration Notes: Installing the ISDN BRI S/T WAN Interface Card.

This configuration note describes how to install the ISDN BRI U WAN interface card in any of the Cisco 1600 series routers. This document describes the process for upgrading the DRAM SIMM in any of the Cisco 1600 series routers. This document includes all regulatory and safety information, including translated safety warnings, for the Cisco 1600 series routers. This document describes using ClickStart to configure Cisco 1600 series routers so you can connect a small office or home office PC to the Internet or another network. Revised Documents

The following documents have appeared on a prior version of the Cisco documentation CDs but are now revised:

This document explains how to use CiscoWorks 3.2 on the SunNet Manager (SNM) and HP OpenView (HPOV) platforms. This document discusses fault management, performance management, device configuration and management, and database administration. It also contains information about setting up domains and securing applications. CiscoWorks 3.2 includes an online help system, upgraded NETSYS integration, and new features such as CiscoWorks Toolbox. This release supports Cisco IOS Release 10.3 software and an upgrade to Sybase 10.1. This document is located under the following paths:

This release note has been revised to support Maintenance Release 11.1(7) as well as earlier releases. This document is located under Cisco Product Documentation: Cisco IOS Software Configuration: Cisco IOS Release 11.1.

This document was revised to improve the software installation procedure and the example connecting router configurations. In addition, the hardware installation procedure has been removed. Hardware installation and configuration procedures are now described in a separate document.

This document appears under Cisco Product Documentation: Access Servers and Access Routers: Cisco 200 ISDN Products: Cisco 200 for DOS and Windows 3.x User Guide.

This publication was revised to update information on the public network certification of the Cisco 201 and Cisco 202 ISDN Adapters. This document appears under Cisco Product Documentation: Access Servers and Access Routers: Cisco 200 ISDN Products: Cisco 200/CiscoPro CPA200 Public Network Certification.

This document has been revised to support Maintenance Release 10.3(16) as well as earlier releases. Release 10.3(16) is a Generally Deployable (GD) software release. This document is located under Cisco IOS Software Configuration: Cisco IOS Release 10.3.

This document has been revised to support Maintenance Release 11.0(12) as well as earlier releases. Release 11.0(12) is a Generally Deployable (GD) software release. This document is located under Cisco IOS Software Configuration: Cisco IOS Release 11.0.
