Restaurants/Food

There are numerous places to eat in Myrtle. Many of them offer coupons and discounts. Look through many of the booklets we have laying around the condo if you are interested in finding deals. For breakfast or lunch we recommend looking for places on 17 business. It doesn't matter if you go north or south on 17 business, you'll see quite a few places to choose from. This is also a good idea for dinner if you aren't sure what you want to eat. You'll see a lot of options as you drive along. We also recommend the Bob Evans located off of 501 just a few minutes from the condo. It is across the street from Waccamaw Pottery. Many of the restaurants advertise with coupons so if you check the pamphlets we have laying around the condo you can save a few bucks. Dinner choices that are familiar to us include :

Serafinos Pizza/Subs - Convenient location right off Burcale road. Good pizza and subs. We highly recommend it. They also deliver.

Broadway at the Beach - This is a good place to get dinner. It's close by and there is a number of different restaurants to choose from. If you decide to eat seafood at Broadway, we recommend the Crabhouse or Joe's Crabshack over Landrys. There is also a Japanese steakhouse called Yamatos. It's expensive, but very good!

Coastal Grand Mall - If you take the George Bishop highway over the waterway you'll run straight into the Mall. There are a number of places to eat in this area.

Restaurant Row - If you don't mind driving a little further, there is an area between North and South Myrtle called Restaurant Row. If you are looking for Calabash Seafood buffets, this is the place to go. Just take the 17 bypass north. A mile or so after passing Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede you'll see the large Calabash seafood places on the left. This is the beginning of Restaurant Row(check the golf map).

Ron Jons - This is a laid back restaurant bar which is just on the other side of 501 across the Freestyle Amusement Park. The food is reasonable and cheap.

Prestons - A little further north of restaurant row is one of our favorites called Prestons. Prestons has a seafood/country buffet for about $20. It doesn't have the selection of the Calabash restaurants but is a much better value.

Thorny's Steakhouse - This is a good place to go with young kids as they have a nice indoor play area. They also have some pretty good early bird specials. There is one located on King's highway around 6th Ave South.

Dick's Last Resort - If you are feeling a little rowdy and want to blow off some steam you may want to try Dick's Last Resort in North Myrtle located near Barefoot Landing and the Alabama Theatre. Everyone here is very rude, customers and the staff. It is EXPECTED! In fact, it is necessary if you want to be served! Your waiter/waitress will treat you like dirt... they may make fun of you and call you nasty names. They expect the same from you.

Pizza Delivery - Both Papa Johns and Dominoes deliver to the Riverwalk condos. Pizz Hut does not. Use the Socastee locations... not Myrtle Beach.

Mini-Markets/Gas - Zach's mini market is the closest. It is located off Burcale Road. There is another mini-market (Sun Mart) off the George Bishop Parkway close to the 501 intersection which sells gas (Exxon). There is also an Amoco across the street from the Sun Mart. Heading north on 501, there is a BP Market immediately on the right.

Supermarkets - There is a FOOD LION located at the corner of Burcale and Hardrock Parkway which you probably passed on your way into the condo. This is just a couple minutes away. There is also a WALMART SUPERSTORE located off of 501 just past the 17 bypass as you head into the beach. There is also one in Surfside at the corner of 17 and 544.
