Course Overview

Description: This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts in the design and implementation of computer networks, protocols and applications. Topics to be covered include network architectures, applications, network programming interfaces, transport layer, routing layer and link layer. Time permitting, we will overview wireless networking and protocols, too.
Prerequisites: CS 201


I will not take attendance, however, participation to the discussions in the class is part of your grade.

Note that for CS 547 students, there will not be a third midterm or homework, but there will be a project (50%).

Homework Assignments

The assignments are posted in the "wireshark" folder at this link. You should go thru the intro document first, if you are not familiar with Wireshark. Each homework is 5% of your final grade. Due dates are posted at Google Classroom Web site.

Submissions: Submissions are to be made through Google Classroom. Make sure to login with your OzU account and CS 447 is listed in your class list.
